Candle Making Class

September 22, 2018

Hands-on Learning

Candlelight kept the darkness at bay for hundreds of years before the invention of the lightbulb. Discover the variety of ways candles were made in the early nineteenth century and learn how to make some yourself!

This fun workshop is hosted by Tamia Land, a long-time volunteer at Fort Meigs.

The men this day have begun to catch fish. I bought one this evening for 75 cents; it weighed 5 pounds.
