Programs Manager

Dan takes the lead with the programs and events hosted by Fort Meigs, including all the reenactments, special events, workshops, and educational programs. He conducts tours when needed and is also webmaster for and manager of Fort Meigs' social media accounts.

Ashley Phlipot

Office Manager

Ashley P. is responsible for managing Fort Meigs' accounts as well as the museum store. She is also in charge of site rentals and assists with Fort Meigs' social media accounts.

Ashley Dukeshire

Visitor Service Representative

Ashley D. helps out in the Museum Store several days each week. She is a welcoming face for visitors to Fort Meigs.

  • 2002 Graduate of Evergreen High School
  • Assisted her parents's with their boutique store in Blissfield, MI for a decade
  • Employed at Fort Meigs since April 2017
Fun Facts:
  • Loves the Toledo music scene and is especially fond of the Zimmerman Twins
  • Earned her massage therapy license in 2015
  • Really good at identifying plants

Rebecca Todak

Historical Interpreter (Seasonal)

A native of Perrsyburg, Rebecca interacts with Fort Meigs' visitors on a daily basis. She dresses in period attire and discusses the history of the site with visitors and conducts guided tours and educational programs.

  • Member of Phi Alpha Theta History Honors Society
  • Employed at Fort Meigs since April 2017
  • Previously volunteered at the site from 2005-2013
Fun Facts:
  • Enjoys theater and has performed in numerous local community theater shows
  • Previously worked as an interpreter at the brickyard at Colonial Williamsburg
  • Childhood dream was to be a tornado chaser and meteorologist

Dave Marriott

Chief of Maintenance

Dave is in charge of site maintenance and takes care of everything from cleaning the Vistor Center to cutting grass to maintaining the site's vehicles and equipment.

Tony Szymanski

Maintenance (Seasonal)

Tony assists Dave with site maintenance during the busy season; cutting grass and keeping the site in top shape for visitors.

  • Retired from Toledo Edison in 2007
  • Held Historical Interpreter position at the site from 2007-2009
  • Previously volunteered at the site starting in 1998
  • U.S. Army Veteran

  • Enjoys hunting, fishing and camping
  • Member of the Toledo Muzzleloaders Club
  • Active in the American Legion
