A Solemn Occasion

Join the staff and volunteers of Fort Meigs in honoring our nation's fallen heroes. War of 1812 soldiers and civilians reenact camp life throughout the day. A special wreath laying ceremony takes place at 2 p.m. at the Fort Meigs Monument. The ceremony ends with a wreath laying and musket salute at the Pennsylvania Monument. Site hours 12:00 - 5:00 p.m.

Three rounds will be fired from the principal Batteries this day at 12 O'Clock in honor of our Brethren who have fallen during the siege.
