Visit

From April through October individuals and families can take self-guided tours of the museum and fort. Historical interpreters, dressed in period clothes, are on hand to provide musket or rifle demonstrations, discuss the history of the fort, and answer any questions you may have. Come discover a part of Ohio you never knew was here!

Tour

Are you a teacher? Church leader? Scout Master? Need something unique for your group to do? Then Fort Meigs is the perfect place! Schedule a private tour of Fort Meigs. Your costumed guide will take you through the fort, giving a detailed history and answering questions along the way.

During the winter season the fort is shut down but the Museum and Visitor's Center stays open all year. Spend an afternoon viewing the original artifacts and displays inside the award winning museum. The gift shop is a great place to browse for books, toys, shirts and more!

The highlights vary from event to event, but any one of them will be a memorable time for the whole family. Immerse yourself in history with the hands-on activities that happen at Special Events. Can't get your kids to do the laundry? You will now! From honoring the nation's veterans on Memorial Day weekend to housing over 2,000 years of military history at Muster on the Maumee, Fort Meigs is the place to go!
